The
park name is because the river that crosses
it. Its spectacular landscape is a mixture of
bush hills, dry plain and baobabs forest.
In the northeast of the park there is the area
of conservation of the wildlife of Tarangire
where you can do walking safaris.
During the dry season there is one of the biggest
concentrations of wildlife of all the parks, and during
the rainy season you can find green grasses and immense
lakes.
Their endless savanna becomes, until October, home
of impressive flocks of zebras, gnus, antelopes, elephants
and species like kudu and Oryx are seen easily. Hundreds
of elephants can be observed crossing, majestic, the
river Tarangire. In this park there are more than
300 species of birds, so is a perfect place for their
observation.
