PARKS OF TANZANIA - NORTHERN PARKS - KILIMANJARO NATIONAL PARK

Maybe we don't know many places of Tanzania, but we will never be able to say that we never listen about Kilimanjaro! The roof of Africa.
Origin of legends, stories, movies, books, poems and everything that comes from the human imagination. For its stateliness, for its light, its eternal snow, its mystery and peace. Because of this it could be considered a landscape park more than a fauna park.

There inhabits some species of animals and birds but they are scarce. However the vegetation is significant. The park rises progressively from the dry plains, the green belt of the forest and the high alpine area, until the summit covered with perpetual snow.

The biggest attraction in the park is its ascension. There are several routes until the Kibo plateau 5.895 m. above sea level. The most popular are the Machame route and the Marangu route, this last one easier than the previous one.
