Arusha
National Park is one of the most beautiful wilderness
areas in Tanzania, located just 32 kilometres
(20 miles) from Arusha. Aside from the abundance
of wildlife, fauna and flora there are three
spectacular features evident in the Park; the
Momela Lakes and the Meru and Ngurdoto Craters.
Both the spectacular Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount
Meru can be seen from the Park during fine weather.
It is an ideal place to carry out trips of one
or two days, also it's possible to do walking
safaris accompanied by a ranger.
Three spectacular features:
-Ngurdoto crater well-known also
as "small ngorongoro", to the west of which
expands a small area of savannah known as "Serengeti
ndogo" (little Serengeti)
-Momela lakes, with crystalline waters
of spectacular beauty. that congregate a great variety
of flamingos and waders in general.
-Mount Meru , with 4.566 m. above
sea level, the second higher pick of Tanzania and
where we find combination of forest and spectacular
